Mirador del Rio is at the very northern tip of the island. The cliff shown in the picture above takes an easterly wind. The take off is 1200 ft above the landing field which is basically at sea level. The landing field is a small football pitch just outside the town of Orzola at the foot of the cliffs. You will see it on the left as you drive into town. The rigging area is flat and massive. There are two launch places, one facing north east and the other facing south east. These are just dirt run offs which have been cleared of rocks. Both take offs take you into very large bowls in the hillside. .

Hazards include rotor in the bowls and cactus plants and chunks of lava around the landing field.

To get to the site, drive to the top following the signs for Mirador del Rio. The road is a dead end. Drive into the dirt car park at the right of the road and take the dirt track to the end of the cliff.

This is a view of Mirador from the road into Orzola.
The S.E take off is the light patch at the top of the hill
