Wind Direction:
Mala is a small town on the east of the island.
The site is just north of the town. There is a dirt road from
the north of the town which takes you up to a concrete dam which
you can see from the bottom. You have to park and carry your glider
over the dam to the launch. The rigging area is very large as
is the take-off area. The site itself is quite small, only about
250ft top to bottom. There are lots of places to land at the bottom
as it's all flat. I've only flown Mala once but I hear it's quite
a nice thermic site and some people have had some decent height
gains here.
