El Cochillo is a small northerly facing site to the west of Famara. It's easily reached by a dirt track just off the main road north of the town of El Cochillo. The rigging area is flat and large and just behind the take-off. The site is only around 200 ft top to bottom.

Top landing is not an option.

It gets quite crowded with just four or five gliders in the air. The bottom landing is easily reached, it's a black gravel field at the foot of the hill. The face of the site is quite steep so it provides good lift in light wind but it can be difficult to launch in stronger winds without assistance.
